"The personal attention given by the teachers and all the staff at Instituto Guanascasteco de Idiomas gave me the knowledge and confidence I needed to speak Spanish without fear. I was able to practice my conversation skills with my host family and everywhere else around Nicoya. All my experience in Nicoya exceeded my expectations!"

“I learned much more than expected, and your school has help me achieve my goals by earning six credits for my university master’s program. Everything was great, and I enjoyed the excursions and activities a lot, especially horseback riding. I finished your Advanced Level II course, and want to return and take the Avanzado Alto course.”

"I've attended Spanish classes two separate times at the Institute and both times I walked away with a greater understanding of the Spanish language. The homestay family was great, and the immersion into Costa Rican culture along with the activities the school arranged outside of classes made for an unforgettable experience."

“I was so happy to have discovered Instituto Guanacasteco de Idiomas!  All the staff there were incredibly helpful, professional, and genuinely interested in my learning.  They provided a very welcoming and stimulating learning environment.  Also, the campus is located in a beautiful setting, where you can watch the iguanas scurry in the yard at the foot of a tree-covered hill.  I will definitely return to this school in the future!”

“I have been to three Spanish language schools in the last three years and I can easily say that Instituto Guanacasteco de Idiomas was the best. I learned so much from the dedicated teachers and was able to plan amazing weekend trips with help from the staff. One of the best parts of my stay was the wonderful host family that the school placed me with. They truly made me feel like I was part of their family. ”
